Neurosurgeon Dr. Tayo Ojo, who operated on prominent Nigerian influencer Dr. Chinonso Egemba aka Aproko Doctor's brain, has received accolades for his skill.
Earlier on Monday, the online health influencer spoke candidly about his fight with a brain tumor that required removal. In regards to the procedure, he claimed that although it had been suggested that he leave the country, he had chosen to undergo it in Nigeria, where a Nigerian neurosurgeon performed it.
He tweeted a picture of the doctor along with the words, "The surgery was performed by Nigerian neurosurgeon Dr. Tayo Ojo. Numerous individuals pleaded with me to leave the nation and have the surgery, but I stayed because I still had faith in us. Just more money needs to be put into the health industry."
Internet users have praised Dr. Ojo and shared stories of how he saved their lives or the lives of their loved ones. Jane Michael, an Instagram user, wrote: "This is the doctor who treated my mother's brain tumor in LUTH and saved her life.
Leo Da Silva, a former reality TV star, tweeted: "I know of this man, intelligent and amazing."

BEmmanuel tweeted about his own meeting with Dr. Ojo, writing, "He performed a spine surgery at LUTH for me as well; I have neurofibromatosis. He also helped Dr. Ugboro perform a skin-grafting procedure on my foot, and I just adore that man."
