  The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has stated that actress Laide Bakare was stopped for violating traffic laws and was fined for the offense. Hundeyin made this information public in a post shared on his verified Twitter account, @benHundeyin, on Sunday.  In response, actress Bakare criticized the police for getting into her vehicle and driving off with her 14-year-old daughter to an undisclosed location. She reported that the incident occurred on Saturday along Ikorodu Expressway after the police alleged that she was driving in the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Lane.
